Orphan Crow Did a piece about Lorenz Reibling about 6 months ago where he was doing a interview as having a lot of money to invest in real estate. If you haven't read her post please do so. At that time my mind went to this exact scenario you are describing. -

Impact of the Royal Commission of Inquiry on JW policies and procedures
by steve2 inthe royal commission is not yet over.
the summary of findings on jws is not the end of the story.
the legal process is unfolding and the only open question is the extent to which jw organization in australia will be legally mandated to change its policies and procedures on child sexual abuse.. (on the question of shunning those who leave, the commission is well intended but has strayed beyond its legal brief.

I view the ARC as setting the stage as to where the real actions will take place, that is in the courtroom. Since 2004 I am the guy mentioned in the 2013 discource "Human Apostates" who has penetrated the church's 'wall of silence" that is enforced by the church policy of shunning, by writing letters to the households of church followers. The tactic plugged into the internal church 'grape vine' [due to local conditions surrounding several financial frauds which swindled the elderly church adhearants for over a 20 year period of time] I was very successful of injecting "apostate thinking" directly into local thinking.
In those letters 1Pet.2: 14-16 was my #2 scripture [behind Lev.5:1] used to make the point that the "great attack" was NOT going to come from the 'image of the beast, the UN" but from the courts. I told the folks that the "governor" was the modern day court system, per WBTS teaching. During Peters time it was the Roman 'governor' who was the courts. It is the courts who 'inflict punishment on evildoers'. Although all those years I never envisioned it to apply to molestations. I had used it in its relationship to court documents pertaining to a $4.250,000 unregestered securties swindle and the relationship with the WBTS and the swindler a Raymond C. Dale out of the San Diego area [ mentioned on this site by 'Royal flush Phil' ] and Isa1:23. I was told prior to the Conti case to look for the churchs future being dictated by by the courts. I think that person was right on.
Read over 1Pet.2:14-16 and let me know what you think.

48th ANNIVERSARY of me GOING TO PRISON
by Terry ini was twenty years old.. as a jehovah's witness, i had no career path ahead of me, no college to attend, and no prospect for my future other than.
knocking on people's doors and scanning the horizon for signs of armageddon:).
i was engaged to a 17-year-old witness girl i had met at the mineral wells assembly.. what was our future together?

The Federal Judge in Sacramento Ca. had the opinion that jailing a JW was a waste of Govt. funds, hence he fined us $3,000. I was to report to his office where he had pictures of Abraham Lincoln who allowed men to buy their way out of the army for $300, so he just tacked on another zero for inflation.
I was one of those community service in lieu of military induction a violation of conscience, guys. I am from Redding in Northern Calif.

Crazyguy Said some good stuff, play the game. You are going through the situtation at a time when there is great change going on with in the church. The molestation issue has people very nervious, it will work for your long term good. -

Yes been there, that was rough. The church policy that non obedient mate is a threat to the spirituality of the faithful mate is a real homewrecker. Personally I conducted myself in such a way that when the day arrives when the reality of the breakup becomes clear I do not have to appologize to my 5 sons. She left the marriage, her blood pressure could not handle the pressure applied by the church that her husband was a wicked person, long story.
You got it rough. My prayer for you is that the financial woes of the church will reach a point to where the church elders she is using for her moral guide will realize the flock is being fleeced. Your problems are not their problems but if they start having problems with what is starting to unfold with the money issues, then their problem has the potential of solving your problem. It was 2004 when my marriage came to its end, today there is a major diffrence as to the internal stability with in the church structure its self. I watch this site very close for the latest happenings and am amazed as to the changes in just the past few months alone. I am in hopes you and many others will have tremendous loads lifted off you with the very real possibility that the church's financial situtation will open the way for men like you to have a opinion in their own house.
Been there and experienced everything you are going through. May Jehovah be with you.

Doing the Right Thing, Making a Choice (shunning)
by Simon incontinuing a topic that is dear to my heart because of my experience as both a shunner and a shunnee .... some people seem to get very agitated when i talk about the responsibility people have to make the right choices and that despite all the wrongs within the wts, people themselves have a role to play and some personal responsibility for the experience.. notice i said "some" responsibility, not "complete" - this doesn't absolve the wts for the things they do wrong in any way shape or form.
so please don't get argumentative about possible meanings and absolutes - of course the wts has a significant role to play but we need to decide what we're trying to achieve here and why the personal choice is so important.. i'm also not talking about actual crimes that the wts should answer for.
if they cover up child abuse for instance, they absolutely should be reported immediately.

It was this issue that put me in contact with this web site. There was a long time poster on this site who was disfellowshiped when we would come in contact [at ciccuit assembly or KH] I would talk to him, he asked me why and my reply was that I was following the stated instructions of Jesus and treated him like I would a IRS agent or a man of the nations. That meant a lot to him that he was treated with respect. I even had him do some work for me. In time as my letter writing campaign [the one mentioned in the "Human Apostate" talk of the 2013 summer convention] came to his mail box contact was made and I was alerted to this site. As I am a hot item our contact is in the past.
I have used this site to keep up with the current events with in the church, as communication is all one sided, my letters get through the WBTS 'wall of silence' and make it to the internal church 'grape vine' but nothing comming back as to effect of letters. Though every now and then I get a scrap of information that yes indeed i am touching some very raw nerves of the local elders as to their involvement with a real life cock sucker who had a 20+ year career swindling the elderly with in the church. The base issue was a $4.250M unregistered securties swindle.
As to my having an impact on the churchs policy of shunning I have been in a mental chess match to publicly humilate the church and its policys. I am a parent isolated from 5 sons, their wives and i think 10 grandchildren. I am one of those Viet Nam war felons due to church policy on community service violation of conscience of which I resent, so indeed I do have a chip on my shoulder. I am close to 1/2 million dollars in alimony since 2004 and I want that money BACK!
So Simon shunning is a tool for churchs to exercise control over people BUT if the church lets its pants down to sell the Word of God to a cock sucker Isa.1:23, simony, then they allow an opponent oppertunity to grab them by the balls [Barbara Anderson told me that when she was in Bethel in the 1990's the church found that speech to be offensive as my letters to Merton Campbell and were deemed the vilest of any man in the USA]. The WBTS is stupid in its policy, to strip a man of everything is to put him into a position of having nothing left to loose. If the church had been smart they would always leave an opponent with something to loose hence an ability to control an adversary. It has been a long time working on this project, 25 years of letters to the church, 11 years of letters to local church grape vine and I hope to have it finished soon. Things are looking pretty good right now.

I been there, its a real bitch. The therpy i used was walking, hiking. If you have areas of natural beauty, outdoors where you can do a few miles hike that will stress your body it will also release the endorphins in your mind that handles stress and depression. There are articles that show exercise is of greater value than medication or counseling. They made a movie recently of a woman who hiked the Pacific Crest Trail for mental health. yes it takes effort but that is something that comes with growing up into adulthood. If your homeschooling doesn't include a PE class that might be something to think about doing.
For 11 years now the Kingdom Hall I go to on Sunday is a National Park I try to do 4-10 miles [past year I have had poor attendance] I see bears, deer, rattle snakes, I saw a young bear chase a fisher.
You have a tough situtation as you are under parental control so you have a bit of time until you control life but something like exercise is one controling his own life even though under parental oversight. Just a thought that much has been written about how folks have been able to handle some very horific life events by exercise.

Yes being a JW robbed me and many others of a very precious time of life. All school activities were not allowed.
There deffinatly was a need for name tags. It will take you down memory lane as there was a innocencies of that time period at least in a small mountian town. You will come away with a reflective prospective.
Yes I too hate that cult and hope to do something about it.
So one baby boomer to another Shalom

It was my 50th class reunion two months ago, about 70 students small mountian town northern Calif. Somewhat akward as I was the draft dogger [a felon for failing to report for community service in lieu of military induction] as there were about 8 students killed in Viet Nam and a bunch of the guys who were veterans. Sat with the gun totting son of the draft board member who fowarded my case to the Federal Court, we conversed ok. Had a interesting conversation with one who married a JW and his being not real welcomed by her family and circle of friends even though he is a educated pharacist. The 'jocks' had the fatest bodies, the girls didn't age well. I had one of the better preserved bodies so that helped. One JW in the crowd who knew I was 'apostate' wanted to encourage to return to what I know to be true. So I fucked a little with her mind.
The school and the times were a good place for a kid to grow up. I would like to do it all over minus the JW mental bondage. A boy could fish, mine gold a lot of old timers who were real men in that community.
